GOTCHA!

It’s all gone spectacularly Pete Tong. The Murdoch’s have pulled the plug on the News of the World, the biggest selling English language paper. The Notw staff want to “lynch Rebekah Brooks”, 200 NotW journalists face the sack and Sun subeditors have gone on strike to support them. Oh, and Andy Coulson is getting arrested tomorrow.  Fortunately David Cameron has got his finger on the pulse of the whole thing – he’s at a police bravery awards ceremony tonight, hosted by the Sun.

Tomorrow’s super-soar away Guardian. WOULD THE LAST NEWS OF THE WORLD HACK TURN THE LIGHTS OUT?

Add strap: ‘Coulson to move into Tommy Sheridan’s now vacant cell.’

perhaps they could share. Great set up for buddy comedy ;)

But John… Tommy will be there until at least October… and he is still a liar – regardless of the fact coulson lied about something that had nothing to do with the case. Do you think Sheridan is the incorruptable socialist scrabble player he made money off the press telling them he was?

Do you believe Sheridan’s lies should have been supported? Do you believe life long socialists and activists should have thrown away any integrity they possessed to lie for this man who brought a News of the World Journalist to places where he and his friends used prositutes? Do you believe supporting his lies would have brought the revolution any further forward? Do you believe continuing to attack those who refused to cover for this individual helps the socialist cause? Or like me, do you believe socialism and the left cause is not served by giving this man who seems to possess no judgement or integrity? Or, in your words, are the politics of this so screwed up, we should support and encourage this man? Should the people of Scotland accept politicians who lie and would call those who would refuse to be part of his lie, “scabs?”

Problem is, john, it was Sheridan who declared war on his party- not the other way round. Nobody gave a flying f@@k at his “swinging.” It was his use of prostitutes and his doing his do with a News of the World Journalist that made the SSP a bit cautious about wanting to back his challenge. And you know, John, this is where u and i differ. A lie is someone not facing up to something they have been caught doing with hands up and then getting on with things. A lie is something that can hurt or destroy others. A lie is pretence at being something u are not. And there lies the rub. Sheridan was involved in debates and discussions about prostitution; he had publicised himself as the pure truthful family man politician. Yet he brought his News of the World mistress to clubs and to parties where prostitutes were part of the entourage. And then he asked comrades to go to court to tell lies to cover for him when he was caught. Sorry- personally speaking, I would never have voted SSP again if the decision was made to lie to cover his arse. Now- you might not think integrity is something a left wing organisation should have- but let me tell you- I hope you and those who truly believe that NEVER get your revolution.

Plot Tracer, I’ve seen the allegation about prostitutes made many times, but never properly substantiated.

Do you know something I don’t? Can you substantiate it?
